Ceramic Sculpture White Joust Horse in Rampant Position by De Rosa Rinconada. The horse used in medieval jousts, particularly in jousting, was the destrier. The destrier was a war or tournament horse, trained to gallop on the right foot, hence the name, to allow the knight an optimal impact during the joust. Internationally known and appreciated for its unique and original design, the De Rosa Rinconada collection is one of the finest examples of avant-garde contemporary ceramics. The Horse has a body in shades of cream white and the vestments are in shades of blue and light blue, with gold and platinum details. De Rosa Rinconada creations are artistically hand-sculpted and minutely detailed in fine ceramic material decorated with enamels and 18 kt gold and platinum. The dimensions of the sculpture are 6.5 cm x 15 cm x 11 cm. Made in Montevideo, Uruguay.
