Of Asian origin, probably from Siam, now Thailand, where it was considered sacred and was used as a guardian in temples. Hand painted in shades of pearly ivory white, blue eyes and details of the head, tail and paws in brown, other details in gold. De Rosa Rinconada creations are artistically hand-sculpted and meticulously detailed in the finest ceramic material decorated with enamel and 18 kt gold and platinum. Made in Montevideo, Uruguay.
